5 101 x Tepe Gawra was an early farming village occupied from around 6000 BC. The building of temples here in late Ubaid times may be evidence of influence or even intruders from Sumer to the south. Among the objects found in the temples were many clay bullae (round balls used as clay 'envelopes') with stamped seal impressions.
